Alternatives to Ola Electric Scooters In India

Ola’s all-new electric scooter has finally been unveiled. In India, the ride-hailing company has opened up bookings for its own branded electric bike, the Ola Electric. Let’s go a little deeper, and we’ll see that there are quite a few Ola Bike alternatives currently available in the market, including several that will launch shortly. We have listed the top upcoming electric scooters in India and the ones that are already available.

Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro offer a range of 181 kilometers at prices starting at Rs 99,999 for Ola S1 and Rs 1,21,999 for Ola S1 Pro. EV top speed is 115 kilometers per hour on both variants. Ola scooter comes with a 750W portable charger, and its 2.9kWh battery can be fully charged in six hours. 

Ola Electric Scooter, an arm of the cab aggregator, has announced that it has received more than one lakh bookings for its upcoming electric scooter. 

Also, the company plans to launch electric bikes in India soon. Apart from Ola, several other auto brands are planning to launch electric bikes in India shortly. Electric scooters and bikes are already available from some companies.

The simple scooter has a powerful 4.8kWh battery, which is more potent than Ola scooters. Featuring a range of 236 kilometers in Eco mode, it will retail for Rs 1.09 lakh ex-showroom. The scooter’s battery is divided into two parts, one of which is removable for charging.

In 2020, Ather Energy launched the Ather 450X, an already popular product. In its category, the Ather 450X offers some of the best features. Ather 450X ex-showroom starts at Rs 1,32,426 in Delhi at the moment. A full charge of the Ather electric scooter takes 3 hours 35 minutes, and it offers a driving range of 116 kilometers.

TVS iQube

TVS already makes electric bikes. TVS iQube is an all-electric scooter with some impressive specifications. One of India’s most popular electric scooters, the TVS iQube, can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 4.2 seconds. On a 100%charge, the TVS electric bike offers a maximum distance of 75km on a single charge. 

Suzuki Burgman Electric

A new electric version of Suzuki’s popular Burgman maxi-scooter is reportedly in the works. It’s already a popular choice among scooter enthusiasts in India, and it’s getting an electric version soon. Suzuki’s electric scooter could be available in India by the end of 2021. In India, the Suzuki Burgman Electric will have the same design as the fuel-powered version. 

Yamaha Electric Scooter

Yamaha India is also preparing to launch an electric bike in the country. The company already has scooters in the fuel category, and it might either give Fascino or Rayzr an electric makeover or introduce a new bike.
