Google Maps is all set to roll out a feature that’ll let you choose an eco-friendly route option. The new feature will not only help with less fuel consumption but also less carbon emission. For those who don’t know, eco-friendly routes help with traffic congestion and optimize lower fuel consumption. And both these factors contribute to a low carbon footprint. While the company has announced to roll out this feature, we don’t know when this feature will be made available in the UAE.
Eco-Friendly Routes Will Have Similar ETA Like The Normal Routes
However, what we know is once the feature is up and ready to use in the region, the default route will be the most eco-friendly. It will also try and find a way with a similar ETA. And if the fastest and most eco-friendly way doesn’t have a similar arrival time, then the app will let you compare the CO2 impact between both.
