Flying is fun, but sometimes, when we miss the flight for varied reasons, paying compensation definitely makes us dread flights. However, imagine a scenario where you get a chance to pay only after your flight has landed at the airport? Sound’s like a dream, right? Well, it’s not a dream anymore since this new app in the UAE does just that. Read on to know more about it.
Colibra App Let’s You Pay For The Tickets Once You Arrive At Your Destination
UAE’s app Colibra lets UAE-ites book air tickets and pays once their flight arrives on time. The app guarantees travellers that if the flight is cancelled or delayed for more than three hours, they don’t have to pay for the tickets at all. Ain’t that cool?
The setting on the Colibra app is free, and it lets you book tickets within 30 days before departure/arrival. You can then pay the ticket charge if the flight arrives on time or within three hours of its departure time. The app aims to make flying a hassle-free experience for users. It is available on both Google Play and App Stores. The app already has over 100,000 downloads, 40,000 active users, and 50,000 trips are registered so far.
You Can Download The App From Google Play Store And App Store
Being user friendly and the app lets you secure compensation for any journey that is cancelled or delayed. All you have to do is log in your flight details into the app before take-off. The refund applies no matter the reason for the disruption.
Speaking about this app, to Khaleej Times, Kalojan Georgiev, CEO and co-founder of Colibra said,
“Over the last few years, the UAE has been dominating the aviation and tourism industry, creating a world-class destination and leading travel hub in just a few decades. Moreover, in the current climate, the UAE aviation industry has worked hard to sustain its reputation, with its major carrier already operating 85 per cent of its pre-Covid network, continuing to fly to 120 destinations.”
He also stressed the importance of hassle-free travel and said travellers should only pay once they board and land. Well, this app can be a total game-changer for avid and frequent flyers.
