AU Small Finance Bank customers can now make secure Tap & Pay payments with their Galaxy smartphones

Samsung Wallet Broadens Its Reach in India

Samsung Wallet continues its expansion across India with a new integration that brings support for AU Small Finance Bank’s credit and debit cards. This update allows customers to use their Samsung Galaxy smartphones for Tap & Pay transactions at NFC-enabled payment terminals—eliminating the need to carry physical cards.

  • The feature supports both credit and debit cards issued by AU Small Finance Bank.
  • Payments are processed through NFC-enabled POS terminals, using Samsung’s Tap & Pay technology.

Another Step Toward a Fully Digital Payment Experience

This integration adds to the growing list of Indian banks supported by Samsung Wallet and reflects Samsung’s broader push to enhance digital payments in India. It also follows four major features added to the platform last month:

  1. Samsung Wallet onboarding during device setup
  2. Biometric authentication for UPI transactions
  3. Saved card usage for online payments
  4. Support for FOREX cards

These updates are part of Samsung’s effort to position its wallet as a comprehensive digital payment platform for Indian users.

What Samsung and AU Small Finance Bank Are Saying

Madhur Chaturvedi, Senior Director at Samsung India, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership:

“We are delighted to partner with AU Small Finance Bank to bring the convenience and security of Samsung Wallet to more users across India. With Mobile Tap & Pay, we are enabling AU Small Finance Bank customers to make seamless and secure payments directly from their Galaxy smartphones — anytime, anywhere.”

Meanwhile, Uttam Tibrewal, Executive Director and Deputy CEO at AU Small Finance Bank, highlighted the bank’s focus on digital innovation:

“The integration of AU Visa Credit Cards with Samsung Wallet is yet another step towards providing seamless digital payment experiences that will enhance the evolving lifestyle of our customers.”

Growing Samsung Wallet Ecosystem in India

Samsung Wallet’s steady growth in India reflects both increased consumer demand for digital payments and Samsung’s drive to offer ecosystem-level convenience. With more banks joining in, Samsung is building a robust mobile-first payments platform that’s well-suited for the Indian market.

  • Users benefit from secure biometric authentication, tap-to-pay simplicity, and expanded card compatibility.
  • More integrations are expected in the coming months as Samsung deepens its presence in India’s fintech space.

Samsung Wallet in India now supports AU Small Finance Bank’s credit and debit cards for Tap & Pay. This partnership enables seamless NFC payments via Galaxy smartphones and follows Samsung’s recent Wallet upgrades, including biometric UPI authentication and online card support.
