Samsung Details June 2025 One UI Security Patch with 36 Android Fixes and 19 Galaxy-Specific Enhancements
Upcoming OTA brings critical system protection updates ahead of wide rollout for Galaxy devices
Samsung has published the official details of its June 2025 One UI security patch, confirming a wide set of vulnerability fixes and software enhancements for Galaxy smartphones and tablets. As part of its ongoing commitment to timely updates, the company continues to maintain industry-leading security support.
What’s Included in the June 2025 Patch?
The June patch addresses 36 high-severity Android vulnerabilities (CVEs), all confirmed by Google and now incorporated into Samsung’s One UI update:
- CVEs include known threats like CVE-2025-0427, CVE-2025-26456, and CVE-2025-0478, among others.
- These fixes target core Android system components, reducing the risk of unauthorized access, data leakage, or device compromise.
- No critical or moderate-level CVEs were reported this month, signaling improved baseline Android stability.
Already Patched and Not Applicable CVEs
Samsung confirmed that CVE-2025-21485 was already patched in earlier firmware versions.
Additionally, five vulnerabilities listed by Google were marked not applicable to Samsung’s ecosystem:
- CVE-2024-53019
- CVE-2024-53020
- CVE-2024-53021
- CVE-2024-53026
- CVE-2025-27029
These exclusions suggest Samsung’s hardware and software configuration prevents exposure to these threats.
Samsung-Specific Enhancements: 19 SVEs
Alongside the Android fixes, Samsung also added 19 SVE (Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures) improvements.
- These are Galaxy-specific security enhancements, often involving Knox framework protection, system UI behavior, and app-level vulnerabilities.
- Samsung continues to harden One UI with device-level improvements, helping to maintain user trust in mobile security.
Rollout Timeline
While the update has not yet begun rolling out, internal testing is underway for:
- Galaxy flagships, including S-series and Z-series foldables
- Select tablets and mid-range Galaxy A devices
The OTA rollout will start soon, beginning with flagship models, before expanding to a wider range of Galaxy devices.
Users are encouraged to keep an eye on the Software Update section in device settings to install the June patch as soon as it becomes available.
