Paul English, co-founder of travel giant Kayak, has launched his latest venture: Supercal, a new scheduling platform designed to compete directly with Calendly—but with a twist: it’s completely free.
- English created Supercal after struggling to coordinate meetings across his roles on eight different boards.
- Unlike Calendly’s freemium model, Supercal offers all core features at no cost, including group scheduling, calendar syncing, and custom meeting types.
“Instead of having the limited version of Calendly or the paid version, which is $12 a month, people can get all those features and more for free at Supercal,” said English.

Supercal simplifies group scheduling using AI and email automation:
- Email a group and CC Supercal’s AI—the tool scans everyone’s calendars, finds the best time, books the meeting, and replies with the details.
- It supports up to six calendar integrations, making it easy to manage work, personal, and shared calendars in one interface.
- Users can choose from eight meeting types, including:
- 15, 30, and 60-minute sessions
- VIP (full calendar access)
- Breakfast, lunch, coffee, and dinner meetings
Future updates will include OpenTable integration, allowing users to book restaurants or cafés directly when setting meal-based meetings.
