One UI 8.0 Beta 2 lands in South Korea

Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 8.0 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, starting in South Korea. The update, carrying the ZYF3 build, is part of the company’s Android 16-based beta program, with availability in more countries expected soon.

  • Beta 2 builds on the feedback gathered from early testers, refining performance and addressing a wide range of issues.
  • This marks the second over-the-air (OTA) release for Galaxy S25 users who enrolled in the beta in late May 2025.

What’s new in One UI 8.0 Beta 2?

Samsung has made a series of notable changes and fixes aimed at enhancing overall stability and user experience:

New Feature:

  • A user feedback interpretation feature has been added to help Samsung better understand input during the beta phase.

Major UI Improvements:

  • Now Brief text alignment issues have been resolved, offering improved text layout and visual consistency.

Bug Fixes Include:

  • Battery widget icon glitches corrected
  • Fingerprint unlock and biometric issues in Secure Folder fixed
  • Lock screen widget sizing improved
  • Bluetooth call volume in vehicles stabilized
  • In-game notifications now produce sound correctly
  • Gesture navigation reliability enhanced
  • Galaxy AI wallpaper features now function as intended
  • S Pen Air Command icon no longer disappears when detached
  • App-specific fixes for KakaoTalk, Clock alarms, camera stability, and Naver blog crashes

How to install One UI 8.0 Beta 2

If you’re part of the One UI 8 Beta Program, you can install the update manually:

  • Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for the latest OTA.

Samsung is using these beta builds to polish One UI 8.0 ahead of its stable release, which is expected later this year.
