One UI 8 Beta Rolls Out: Samsung Confirms Eligible Devices and Countries for Phase 1

Galaxy S25 Series Users in Select Regions Get First Access to Android 16-Based Update

Samsung has officially launched the One UI 8 Beta Program, giving users of the Galaxy S25 series a first look at its next-gen software built on Android 16. In a recent press release, Samsung outlined the eligible devices and countries included in Phase 1 of the beta rollout—true to form, it’s a limited release, with expansion expected later.

Phase 1: Eligible Devices

The following devices are currently supported:

  • Galaxy S25
  • Galaxy S25+
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra

These are the first in line to test One UI 8 Beta, reflecting Samsung’s usual focus on flagship series before expanding to foldables and previous-generation models.

Phase 1: Eligible Countries

The beta program is initially open in four key regions:

  • United States – T-Mobile and unlocked devices
  • Germany
  • South Korea
  • United Kingdom

Samsung plans to expand the program with the release of Beta 2, likely adding more countries such as India, Poland, and China, which have been part of previous beta rounds.

Easy Access Through Samsung Members App

Samsung has revamped the Samsung Members app to streamline the beta experience:

  • A new Beta Program Home allows users to enroll, receive updates, and provide feedback more efficiently.
  • The process is designed to be simple, fast, and accessible to both tech-savvy users and newcomers.

What to Expect in the Stable One UI 8 Update

The official One UI 8 release, arriving later this year, will emphasize AI enhancements and usability improvements. According to Samsung, the update is designed to make Galaxy phones:

  • Smarter through multimodal AI capabilities
  • More adaptive with UX tailored for different screen sizes and foldable form factors
  • Proactive via personalized suggestions for daily tasks

In short, One UI 8 is about making smart features seamless, not just flashy. Expect intuitive tools that improve everyday interactions, from reminders and voice input to smart file sharing and device automation.

With the launch of the One UI 8 Beta Phase 1, Samsung has laid the foundation for a smarter, smoother Galaxy experience—and it’s only going to get bigger from here.
