Samsung Preparing One UI 8 Beta 4 with Smoother Animations, More Stability

The update will bring major bug fixes, smoother animations, and possibly new lock screen features as Samsung nears stable One UI 8 rollout.

One UI 8 Beta 4 Confirmed, Coming Soon for Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung has officially confirmed the development of One UI 8.0 Beta 4, and it’s nearly ready for Galaxy S25 users.

  • The announcement comes from a Samsung Korean community moderator, who shared the latest beta progress and a tentative release window of next week.
  • This version will reflect a wide range of fixes and user feedback collected from earlier beta rounds, especially Beta 3.

Recap: One UI 8 Beta Journey So Far

Samsung’s One UI 8 Beta Program, based on Android 16, launched in late May:

  • Beta 1 introduced the new UI design and foundational Android 16 features
  • Beta 2 and 3 focused on bug fixes and feature refinements
  • Now, Beta 4 is expected to bring major stability improvements and additional features before the final stable release

Samsung also unveiled official One UI 8 on July 9, which will debut on the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Other Galaxy devices, including the S25 series, will receive the stable version gradually after the beta phase ends.

What to Expect in Beta 4

According to internal sources and ongoing leaks, Beta 4 may include:

  • A new adaptive lock screen clock style, giving users dynamic customization options
  • Fixes for occasional app crashes and animation glitches
  • Smoother UI transitions and improved responsiveness
  • Optimizations targeting power consumption and system resource use
  • Feature completions that were missing or partially implemented in earlier builds

Samsung is also reportedly testing stable builds internally, suggesting the final version of One UI 8 could be just a few weeks away.

Samsung’s Message to Beta Testers

In a message posted to the community, Samsung thanked users for their patience and feedback:

“We are currently preparing the Beta 4 version and are doing our best to release it next week. We are deeply grateful for all the bug reports and valuable feedback… We will use this to deliver a more stable version in return.”

Still, Samsung warns that if any last-minute issues arise, the Beta 4 rollout could be slightly delayed to ensure device safety and reliability.

Final Thoughts

As One UI 8 development nears completion, Beta 4 is a critical milestone for Samsung and Galaxy S25 users.

  • It reflects Samsung’s user-first approach, incorporating community feedback before a wide release.
  • If all goes well, Beta 4 may be the last major test version before the stable One UI 8 starts rolling out broadly in August 2025.
