Trump Media & Technology plans to launch a paid service offering high-speed access to Truth Social posts, including content from some of the platform’s highest-ranking accounts.
The service, called Truth PSI, would give Wall Street trading firms and other institutions access to posts within milliseconds. The company said it hopes to begin offering the service next month and has already signed up customers.
The announcement has drawn scrutiny because President Donald Trump is Truth Social’s most prominent user and the largest shareholder in its publicly traded parent company.
What the service would offer
According to the company’s announcement, Truth PSI would provide:
- millisecond access to Truth Social posts;
- feeds from the platform’s highest-ranking accounts;
- access aimed at trading firms and other institutional customers; and
- delivery of posts before they reach general users.
The company did not disclose how much customers would be charged.
A press release suggested that Trump’s account could be included, saying the service would cover “the highest-ranking Truth Social accounts.” Trump has 12.9 million followers on the platform.
Trump Media did not immediately respond to emailed questions, including whether the president’s posts would be excluded. The Trump family company declined to comment.
Conflict-of-interest criticism
Kathleen Clark, an expert in government conflict-of-interest rules at Washington University School of Law, criticized the proposal.
“He’s selling expedited, privileged access to information about what he is doing as president,” Clark said. “It’s yet more brazen corruption, an improper exploitation of government power to enrich himself.”
Trump has used Truth Social in recent months to announce decisions and share views on issues including the Iran war, tariffs and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement crackdown in U.S. cities.
His posts on Iran have drawn particular attention from investors concerned that higher oil prices could add to inflation and possibly lead the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates.
The announcement follows a 70 per cent fall in Trump Media & Technology’s stock since Trump took office last year.
