Metaverse is a virtual, alternate reality for social connections. Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality can be used to immerse users into the alternate world of Metaverse so they can interact, play games, and experience things through their digital avatars. On the other hand, NFTs are unique digital assets whose ownership is stored on a blockchain. NFTs can be paintings, music, artwork, or videos, with each token being uniquely identifiable.

Music, art, and fashion creators are gravitating towards the virtual world as the dig, andape expands at a very fast pace to broaden their reach and diversify their income.

Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam movie trailer premieres in Metaverse –    ‘Heartthrob Prabhas’ latest magnum opus, Radhe Shyam, became the first movie in the world to launch a trailer in the Metaverse. There was such a rush to enter the Metaverse and watch the trailer that the server crashed. With this multilingual romantic drama, a new trend has been set, inspiring many more producers and upcoming films to follow suit.

Indian Fashion designers back NFTs –  Among the ace fashion designers who dropped their digital collectibles last month were Manish Malhotra, Anamika Khanna, Raghavendra Rathore, and Pankaj & Nidhi. While Manish dropped five NFTs, which sold out within seconds, the others were also extremely happy with the response to their work on the digital platform. The designers believe that having the first-mover advantage will give them lifetime value.

Gucci buys virtual land in Metaverse –  Earlier this year, luxury fashion brand Gucci made its debut in the Metaverse with a virtual purchase. The brand has purchased a virtual plot of land on the online platform, The Sandbox, and will use it to spark discussions about fashion in the Metaverse. They will also create digital fashion experiences on the platform.

John Legend’s new music and art NFT platform – A new music and art NFT platform called OurSong was launched last month by American singer, songwriter, and producer John Legend. This ‘social commerce platform’ lets users create and sell NFTs without owning a crypto wallet. As a result, the buyers receive privileges like access to unreleased music and a private chat room.

Warner Music Group forays into the Metaverse – Warner Music Group has partnered with blockchain-based fantasy card game Splinterlands to build custom tokenized games. Splinterlands, a blockchain-based fantasy card game, will be used to build custom tokenized games. As a result of this collaboration, artists will be able to create unique, arcade-style blockchain games.

NFT diamond earrings – Founder of international jewellery brand, L’Dezen collaborated with NFT marketplace Digital Twin, to launch her digital diamond NFT earrings. It is reported that the ‘Limitless’ earrings will be available to owners both in physical form and as NFTs.
