2022 Honda NT1100 Coming To India, Patent Uncovered

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has obtained approval for its patent application for the NT1100. Hence, the motorbike is set to hit the market in the near future.

Days after unveiling it to the world, the Japanese firm applied for the NT1100’s patent in India. The tourer bike is based on the Africa Twin adventure motorcycle.

Featuring a neutral design language, the 2022 NT1100 comes with LED lights, an adjustable flyscreen, heated grips, a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, cruise control, self-cancelling indicators and Emergency Stop Signals.

It also has detachable panniers (33-litre left and 32-litre right), adjustable Showa suspension, Throttle By Wire (TBW), 3 riding modes (Urban, Rain and Tour), 2 customisable ‘User’ modes, wheelie control and Honda Selectable Torque Control.

Power comes from a 1084cc parallel-twin engine tuned to produce a maximum of 101 BHP and 104 Nm of torque. The bike comes with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT (with 2 modes) options.

The Honda NT1100 rides on 17-inch aluminium wheels and is equipped with the latest braking system (front discs are clamped by 4-piston radial-mount calipers), for it weighs between 238 kg (manual) and 248 kg (DCT).

As mentioned above, since the Honda NT1100 patent has been filed (and subsequently approved) in India, the motorcycle should be introduced here soon. It is likely to not costs as much as the Africa Twin that is priced from Rs. 15.96 lakhs (ex-showroom).
