2022 MG ZS EV price slightly increased over the pre-facelift model
2022 MG ZS EV launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 21.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). Both Excite and Exclusive models are available. Exclusive trim is priced at Rs. 25.88 lakhs (ex-showroom) and is available immediately. The base variant will be available by July 2022.
As you can see, MG has made some changes on the exterior based on the Astor facelift. However, it comes with some typical EV styling cues like the covered up nose without the grille pattern accommodating the charging socket up front. There are new 17-inch alloy wheels on offer with a sleeker pattern.
The interior gets a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. There is a 7-inch fully-digital instrument cluster. The car also offers wireless phone charging, 5 USB ports including 2 Type-C charging ports.
The i-SMART connected car system comes with 75+ features. There is a new Digital Bluetooth key feature as well that allows customers to drive without a physical key in select cases.
Safety features include 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC), Rear Drive Assist, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), etc.
MG claims this is the largest battery pack in its segment, with a capacity of 50.3kWH, an upgrade over the previous version. It complies with IP69K & ASIL-D international safety standards. (ICAT claimed) It has a better range of 461 km, which is 42 km more.
Performance figures have also improved significantly. The electric motor now delivers 176 HP and 353 Nm of torque. The car is claimed to sprint from 0-100 km/hr in only 8.5 seconds with 33 more horsepower.
The new ZS EV is available in Ferris White, Currant Red, Ashen Silver and Sable Black colour options. In addition to a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen and more features, like new alloy wheels that look much better than before. Range-topping trims are available now, while entry-level trims will be available in July 2022
