2023 Honda Accord revealed with a new design direction
2023 Honda Accord makes its global debut, it is the 11th generation model! The sedan gets an all-new design language that screams European from all angles, even the interior.
The Honda Accord has been a popular sedan globally and a very popular premium car in the Indian market. We have seen three generations of the Accord in India – sixth, seventh and eighth. It was quite popular back then and still has a lot of takers in the used car market.
Anyway, let’s get back to the new generation model. It now has a very mature stance with a minimalistic, straightforward design, which looks classy. If you remove the Honda badge from the nose and the rear profile, some people might mistake it as a Volkswagen Passat!
The interior too, looks inspired by some Audi cars. Notice the dashboard design. It has a simple cabin layout with an uncluttered center console.
Gets a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some of the features include an 8-way power driver’s seat, heated & ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control system, moonroof, head-up display, wireless charger, 12-speaker Bose audio system, etc.
The new Accord is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine which is good for 195 PS and 260 Nm torque, along with a 2.0-liter petrol hybrid unit producing 207 PS and 335 Nm torque. Honda has discontinued the 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine.
Sadly, Honda won’t launch the new Accord in the Indian market.
