2023 Maruti Swift – 5 Key Features We Know So Far

A new-generation Suzuki Swift is being tested in Europe by the Japanese automaker. The design and features of this vehicle have already been revealed in multiple spy images. The hatchback’s all-new model is likely to make global debut by the end of 2022 and its India launch might take place in early 2023. The next year’s Auto Expo could be its first public appearance. The 2023 Maruti Swift is expected to come with significantly improved design and interior along with mild hybrid powertrain. So far, we know five major details about the all-new Swift.

New, Lighter Platform

The all-new Maruti Swift is likely to underpin Suzuki’s lightweight Heartect platform that uses Ultra & Advanced High Strength Steels. The carmaker claims that the architecture is capable to absorb and distribute impact energy across the vehicle structure during a collision and ensures better protection. It also enhances overall driving performance and mileage of the car.

Hybrid Tech

Rumour has it that the new 2023 Maruti Swift could get mild hybrid tech with the 1.2L K12N Dualjet petrol engine. The gasoline unit makes a top power of 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available.

With the generation change, the Swift model lineup might receive CNG variant. The model could be made available with a factory-fitted CNG kit paired to the 1.2L Dualjet petrol motor.

Heavily Revised Front

In most cases, cosmetic changes will be made to the front of the vehicle. The new Maruti Swift 2023 will feature sleeker headlamps with new LED elements, a completely new front grille, updated bumper with wider and lower air intakes. The fog lamp assembly will have new C-shaped air splitters. The car’s other design highlights include larger, dual-tone alloy wheels, blacked-out pillars, a roof mounted spoiler, and prominent wheel arches.
