The country’s third largest carmaker Tata Motors after months of speculating has finally launched the newest Dark Editions for its most popular SUVs the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. The company has introduced these models with an all-new Oberon Black paint job along with piano black grilles with Zircon red accents on the outside. Tata has also updated the interiors of the SUVs with new all-red upholstery and has also given a ton of new features including ADAS.
Starting off with the new Nexon Dark Edition the company now offers the country’s best-selling SUV with Oberon Black paint job on the outside. The car also gets a piano black Tri-arrow grille with Zircon red accents. Additionally, it also gets the #DARK logo on the fenders which now come finished in red color. Furthermore, the subcompact SUV also gets R16 Blackstone alloy wheels. On the inside, the new Nexon Dark Edition gets a Carnelian Red theme, Leatherette seats, steel black front dashboard design, and red accents on the steering wheel, console, and doors.
Following the Nexon its elder siblings the mid-size SUV Harrier and full-size SUV Safari. The Harrier and Safari also receive the same Dark Edition treatment. On the outside both of the flagship SUVs receive the same Oberon Black exterior paint along with Piano black grille with Zircon red accents. The SUV duo also gets R18 Charcoal Black Alloys with Red Calipers along with #Dark logo on the fenders.
On the inside the new Harrier and Safari both receive Carnelian Red Interior theme which includes new Carnelian Red Leatherette seats with diamond style quilting, complimenting grab handles on doors and central console, #DARK logo on the headrest, Steel black front dashboard design and Piano black accents on steering wheel, console and doors.
In terms of feature upgrades the SUV duo will now be offered with advanced features such as 200+ Voice commands in 6 languages, 6 Way powered Driver seats with Memory and Welcome function. The biggest update on the interior will be their new 17.78 cms Digital TFT Instrument Clusters and 26.03 cm HARMAN Touchscreen infotainment systems.
As part of the new safety feature upgrades the SUVs will now get 360° Surround View Systems along with the highly anticipated ADAS systems. The list of ADAS features include, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), forward collision alert, lane departure warning, lane change assist and traffic sign recognition. In terms of drivetrain changes there will be no alterations on all three SUVs.
As for the pricing side things, the new Dark Edition Nexon (Petrol) will start at Rs 12.35 lakh meanwhile the Nexon (Diesel) will start at Rs 13.70 lakh. The Harrier Dark Edition has been launched with a starting price of Rs 21.77 lakh. Lastly the 7 seater version of the Safari Dark Edition has been introduced with a starting price of Rs 22.61 lakh and the 6 seater version will cost Rs 22.71 lakh.
