Ducati enhances its flagship adventure tourer with smarter tech, better suspension, and added long-distance capability.
A Sharper Adventure Machine
Ducati has officially unveiled the 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally, introducing a suite of updates designed to strengthen its off-road prowess and long-distance touring comfort. Based on the already capable Multistrada V4 platform, the Rally version leans further into adventure touring, offering enhancements that cater to the most demanding terrains and extended journeys.
- Carries over the 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine with 170hp
- Adds electronic and mechanical refinements for off-road stability
- Offered in three distinct trim levels, each tuned for specific rider needs
Built on a Proven Powertrain
At the heart of the Multistrada V4 Rally lies the same 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine, producing:
- 170hp at 10,750rpm
- 121Nm of torque at 8,750rpm
This engine is known for its refined power delivery, and for 2026, it gains an enhanced rear cylinder deactivation system. This feature boosts fuel efficiency by deactivating two rear cylinders at idle or slow speeds—perfect for crawling through traffic or navigating rugged trails.
Advanced Electronics: Smarter Than Ever
The 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally inherits Ducati’s comprehensive electronics suite and adds a few new tricks:
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW), enabled by radar tech
- Adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection
- Cornering ABS, wheelie control, and combined braking
- Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, bi-directional
- Cornering lights and Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) system
- All systems are customizable via a 6.5-inch TFT display
With data from 70 onboard sensors, the DVO optimizes rider safety by dynamically adjusting critical systems based on riding behavior and road conditions.
Suspension and Hardware Upgrades
A key highlight of the Rally edition is its semi-active Marzocchi suspension, managed by the Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) EVO system. This tech continuously adjusts damping based on:
- Road surface conditions
- Rider input and riding mode
Notably, the Rally offers 200mm of suspension travel at both ends—30mm more at the front and 20mm more at the rear than the standard Multistrada V4. This extra travel improves off-road capability and enhances long-distance comfort.
Other updates include:
- A larger 280mm rear disc brake (up from 265mm)
- A redesigned center stand for improved stability and utility
Purpose-Built Adventure Variants
Ducati is offering the 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally in three trims, catering to varied adventure touring needs:
- Radar (Base): Includes all core features and electronic aids
- Adventure Travel & Radar: Adds aluminium panniers and heated seats
- Full Adventure: Includes a street-legal Akrapovič exhaust and carbon fibre front mudguard for a premium touch
This modular trim strategy ensures that both serious adventurers and touring enthusiasts find a model suited to their riding goals.
Availability and Market Outlook
Ducati has confirmed international deliveries will begin in November 2025. While there’s no official timeline for India yet, the new Multistrada V4 Rally is expected to arrive sometime in 2026.
Given that the previous-gen model was priced at ₹31.76 lakh (ex-showroom), expect a notable price bump for the updated version, particularly for higher trims with premium accessories.
