BMW R 1300 GS and F 900 GS Add New Colours for 2026

While mechanicals remain unchanged, BMW Motorrad enhances the appeal of its ADV twins with fresh paint schemes and minor equipment tweaks.

Visual Refresh for BMW’s Adventure Icons

BMW Motorrad has given its F 900 GS and R 1300 GS adventure motorcycles a visual makeover for 2026 in international markets. Though there are no changes to engine specs or performance, the updates focus on new colour options and subtle feature enhancements to keep the bikes fresh in a competitive ADV segment.

R 1300 GS: New Style Trophy and Equipment Upgrades

The flagship BMW R 1300 GS gains a striking new “Style Trophy” colour scheme for its standard variant.

  • The new look combines White Aluminium Matt Metallic and Racing Blue Metallic, adding sporty visual contrast.
  • Though the Adventure model doesn’t get new colours, Touring and Enduro Pro packages see minor upgrades:
    • Touring package receives hand guard extensions.
    • Enduro Pro now includes a revised engine guard for extra off-road protection.

This ensures that even seasoned GS owners have fresh upgrade options for their next ride.

F 900 GS: Two Bold New Shades for 2026

The mid-weight adventure sibling, the BMW F 900 GS, has been introduced in two vibrant new colours:

  • Snapper Rocks Blue Matt Metallic
  • Racing Blue Metallic/Light White Uni/Racing Red Uni (tri-tone)

These new options replace two outgoing, similar-looking shades, giving the F 900 GS a renewed visual personality.

Engine Specs Remain Unchanged

Both motorcycles retain their tried-and-tested mechanical setups, ensuring the same performance and reliability for which BMW ADVs are known.

BMW F 900 GS:

  • Engine: 895cc twin-cylinder
  • Power: 105 bhp @ 8,500 rpm
  • Torque: 93 Nm @ 6,750 rpm
  • Top Speed: ~205 kmph
  • Weight: 219 kg
  • Wheels: 21-inch front, 17-inch rear (cross-spoke)
  • Range: Approx. 329 km
  • Price (India, ex-showroom): ₹14,85,000 onwards

BMW R 1300 GS:

  • Engine: 1,300cc Boxer twin
  • Power: 145 bhp @ 7,750 rpm
  • Torque: 149 Nm @ 6,500 rpm
  • Weight: 237 kg
  • Despite its weight, it’s praised for its nimble, balanced feel both on and off-road.

Aesthetic Tweaks for Continued Relevance

With no drastic redesign or powertrain changes, BMW’s focus for 2026 is clearly to maintain relevance through visual updates and rider-focused accessories. This is especially key in a segment where riders value both performance and presence.

For adventure enthusiasts eyeing a new GS, the 2026 models promise fresh style without compromising the core DNA that defines these globally popular machines.
