Bookings for the Audi e-Tron GT begin in India.

Audi has begun taking reservations in India for its soon-to-be-launched e-Tron GT. The German automaker will have a pretty strong lineup of electric vehicles (EVs) in the premium market by launching the electric GT.

The EV is a 4-door coupe with two variants – the e-Tron GT Quattro and the RS e-Tron GT.
It will be equipped with a large 85 kWh (net capacity) battery pack and an electric motor on either axle (the rear engine is paired with a 2-speed gearbox).
The e-Tron GT Quattro has 476 PS and 640 Nm, while the RS e-Tron GT is rated at 598 PS and 830 Nm. Naturally, the top-spec model is faster, but the top speed is limited to 250 km/hr.
The range of the international model is 487 km, which is not as high as that of the Mercedes-Benz EQS, which is also set for release.

In India, DC fast chargers can charge the e-Tron GT up to 270 kW, so topping up the battery should be just a matter of finding one.
In addition to the specifications, the exterior design of the vehicle is equally impressive. Moreover, the e-Tron GT is packed to the brim with features.
As standard, the base model will come equipped with LED lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch digital display, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, Audi drive select, and rear-axle differential lock others.
Of course, the RS variant will get more features like Matrix LED lights and an air suspension system, while there will be plentiful optional extras for customers to dive deep.
However, it will not be an affordable car for the general public by any means, with its asking price likely to be set north of Rs. 1.20 crore (ex-showroom).
