Classic Legends to Launch 4 New Models, Expand Global Footprint in FY26
Classic Legends, the parent company behind Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA motorcycles, has ambitious plans for FY26, including the launch of four new models, entry into seven new international markets, and doubling its sales, as confirmed by Co-Founder Anupam Thareja.
Focus on Expansion and Dealer Growth
As part of its aggressive strategy, Classic Legends aims to grow its dealer network from 350 to 500 outlets.
- This is in line with the brand’s push to strengthen its domestic presence while expanding globally.
- The company currently retails eight motorcycles across its three brands.
Upcoming 450cc Platform in Development
Thareja confirmed development of a new 450cc engine platform, though a market launch this year is unlikely.
- Instead, the brand is investing in refining its current offerings, focusing on gear ratios, suspension tuning, and handling improvements.
- “We’re tired of the CC game. It’s about how a bike rides in the real world,” Thareja emphasized.
Product Roadmap and Brand Focus
The brand will continue to focus on its core segments—roadsters, adventure tourers, and classic motorcycles—without venturing into entirely new genres for now.
- Yezdi currently offers the Roadster, Scrambler, and the freshly updated Adventure.
- Jawa has five models, while BSA offers the Goldstar, with a scrambler variant in the pipeline based on its 650cc single-cylinder engine.
Overcoming Past Challenges
Despite strong brand heritage, Classic Legends has faced product quality and service challenges, further complicated by the pandemic’s impact.
- The company is now refocusing efforts on refinement, positioning, and value delivery to reinforce its standing in the middleweight motorcycle segment.
FY26 is poised to be a transformational year for Classic Legends as it looks to refresh its portfolio, expand internationally, and regain consumer trust through improved quality and riding experience.
