Fisker, a California-based electric vehicle manufacturer, has opened a new headquarters in Hyderabad, Telangana. Fisker Vigyan India Pvt Ltd will run the Indian operations. Fisker also plans to launch the Ocean SUV EV and PEAR EV in the U.S.
Specifically, Fisker Vigyan will oversee software development, embedded electronics, virtual vehicle development support functions, data analytics, and machine learning. Additionally, it will work with the company’s engineering and product development teams in California.
On 17 November 2022, Magna Steyr’s manufacturing facility in Graz, Austria, will begin producing the Ocean EV. The electric SUV will be fitted with an interior made from recycled materials such as plastic bottles and other plastics. As per WLTP, it will also offer a range of 440km and 630km in Sport and Extreme trims, respectively.

We have already started hiring locally in India and expect our new team in Hyderabad to be operational and working on multiple product programs within weeks. Fisker Ocean and Fisker PEAR will be launched in India thanks to our talent pool in India.
