Keeway K300N And K300R Launched In India

Keeway India has launched two new motorcycles- the K300N naked bike and the K300R sports bike in India. The K300 N is priced between Rs 2.65 lakh and 2.85 lakh whereas the K300 R is priced between Rs 2.99 lakh and 3.20 lakh. Both bikes are based on the same platform, and their mechanicals are identical.

While both the bikes share their mechanicals, they both have their unique styling. The K300N is a naked bike with lots of sharp panels. It features a neat exhuast LED-lighting all around. It also gets a digital isntrument cluster. The K300R on the other hand is a typical sportsbike with fully-faired design and clip-on handlebars. The K300R also features similar design elements like the K300N. Both the bikes get three color choices of white, red and black. The K300N gets a matte finish whereas the K300R gets a gloss finish. The K300N and K300R are powered by a 292.4cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 27.5hp at 8,750rpm and 25 Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The bikes are based on a steel terllis frame.

The K300 N weighs 151kg and the K300 R weighs 165kg. The K300N gets a higher seat height of 795mm when compared to the 780mm seat height of the K300R. The suspension duties are take care of by a 37mm fork and a monoshock. The brakes are a 4-piston caliper on a 292mm disc at the front and a single-piston caliper on a 220mm disc at the rear, with ABS. The tyre sizes on both the sides are the same with a 110/70-17 tyre up front and a 140/60-17 tyre at the rear. Speaking about ground clearance, the K300N gets 150mm of ground clearance whereas the K300R gets a ground clearance of 135mm. The fuel tank capacity stands at 12.5 litres on the K300N and 12 litres for the K300R.
