Keeway To Make India Debut With All-New Cruiser Reveal On 17th May

Keeway, a Hungarian motorcycle manufacturer, is set to launch its first motorcycle in India with the unveiling of its K-Lite cruiser. In addition, the company has produced a Block-Your-Date invitation.

While Keeway has its roots in Hungary, it is owned by the QJ Group of China, which is also the owner of the Italian brand, Benelli. Of late, QJ and Benelli are in the news for a complete powertrain refresh as the former is on a patenting spree of its new engines which are reportedly inspired from KTM’s units.

The Keeway brand is quite popular throughout the world for its small cruisers, scooters, street bikes, and off-roaders powered by 125cc engines. Their cruiser designs are inspired from the Harley-Davidson roadsters although not in size as Keeway models are small.

Coming to the invite, it sports the outline of the rear portion of the bike which is nothing but the K-Lite Cruiser. But reports say, it won’t feature the 125 cc mill as seen worldwide but the 500 cc twin cylinder engine from Benelli’s 502C or the Imperiale’s 350 cc single as they both are BS6 complaint now. This is just likely but not confirmed!

As far as the design of the K-Lite is concerned, it features a low-slung cruiser design with a single-piece seat. After the slim tank there are two side panels followed by a short mudguard. There’s a rear tyre hugger also housing the number plate holder, a setup already seen on the Benelli 502C. The knobby tyres are slapped on to alloy wheels with disc brakes at both ends. The cruiser is equipped with round lamps throughout as well as flat handlebars.

We are not aware of the bike’s price tag, nor do we know which engine it will have. But, if it comes with the 500 cc twin, then expect a price tag of Rs 5.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).
