Emad Dlala, one of Lucid Motors’ longest-serving executives, has left the electric vehicle maker as newly appointed CEO Silvio Napoli undertakes a leadership overhaul.
Dlala’s departure marks the first major executive exit since Napoli was named chief executive in April. He formally assumed the role last week after a career at Schindler Group, where he held several leadership positions.
Company restructuring underway
Lucid confirmed Dlala’s departure and said it is reorganizing its operations.
“Lucid is transforming its organization to accelerate innovation and strengthen execution under CEO Silvio Napoli,” the company said in a statement to TechCrunch.

More than a decade at Lucid
Dlala spent over 10 years at Lucid, making him one of the company’s longest-serving employees.
During the last five years, he led the automaker’s powertrain team as vice president and senior vice president.
In November, Lucid promoted him to oversee Engineering and Digital, shortly after longtime chief engineer Eric Bach departed.
Bach later filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the company. According to federal court records, the case has since been stayed pending arbitration.
