Mahindra XUV700 Rolls Out of The Production Plant.

Mahindra’s XUV700 comes with a new logo, new alloy wheels, flush-type door handles, the most prominent sunroof, and an AdrenoX interface for infotainment.

On 14th August 2021, Mahindra XUV700 was launched in India. Priced from Rs 11.99 lakhs, it has now become THE talk of the town among SUV buyers. All SUV buyers (Brezza, Venue, Nexon, etc.) and large SUV buyers (Hector, Safari, Compass) are talking about the new Mahindra in town.

Although the SUV has been launched, deliveries have not yet begun. Bookings have started at the dealer level, but they are unofficial. Mahindra is expected to begin official bookings next month.

Mahindra XUV700 Test Drive / Showroom Display

Mahindra’s factory has already begun producing the new XUV700. The first unit rolled out recently, where employees performed a ceremony as well. The first batch of XUV700s will be dispatched later this month or early next month for test drives and showroom displays.

WeGuideAuto reports that the XUV700 will be displayed in showrooms across India from the 2nd week of September. Soon after, test drives will begin. Delivery is expected to start later this year, most likely in October 2021.

Visual Updates

Additionally, the XUV700 will have several segment-first features as compared to the XUV500. XUV700’s production version will receive a vertical front grille extending to the headlamps, which also have a unique design.

The exterior of the upcoming SUV is characterized by LED DRLs, wraparound split headlamps, and sharp crease lines. It will also feature sporty cladding all around, a silver finished bash plate, and flush door handles for the first time on any Mahindra vehicle.

Class-Leading Features

The XUV700 will feature a shark fin antenna, an automatic headlamp boost system to illuminate dark roads when traveling at or above 80 km/h, and personalized safety alerts. Its other segment-first features include the new AdrenoX interface for infotainment along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, voice commands by Amazon’s Alexa virtual assistant, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Mahindra XUV700 will be offered in a 5-seater and a 7-seater layout. It will be one of the most powerful engines in its segment. The engine will be a 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor with 200 PS of peak power. Also available is a 2.2-liter, 4-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel engine with 185 horsepower. Both engines are available with manual and automatic transmissions.

The Mahindra XUV700 is available with an all-wheel drive (AWD). It competes with Tata Safari, Harrier, MG Hector Plus, and Jeep Compass. Mahindra has confirmed the discontinuation of the XUV500. An all-new XUV500 is slated to arrive in early 2024, according to the company. When the next XUV500 comes, it will be a much smaller SUV than it is today. Once launched, it will rival the Hyundai Creta in the compact SUV segment.
