Maruti Suzuki 3rd Gen Alto Will Be Launched On 18th August

The 2023 Maruti Suzuki Alto will become the third generation model, has been caught undisguised. Maruti Suzuki will launch the third generation 2023 Alto on 18th August as the company has sent a block-your-date invite for that day. Also, the A-segment hatchback has been caught undisguised again in clearest shots.

It seems the company has hurried the launch to the extent that the car has been clicked undisguised even before a single camouflaged test mule was snapped.

Due to the discontinuation of Hyundai Santro, Datsun Redigo, and Datsun Go, a great void has been left in the segment.

With the Renault Kwid being the 1 and only competitor for Maruti Suzuki in the A-segment, the Indo-Japanese manufacturer feels there has never been a time as good as this for an offensive to regain lost market share.

The third generation model’s silhouette looks almost identical to the latest generation Celerio from the clicked pictures. To keep development costs as low as possible, the company has adopted a common design approach for both cars.

Spied in a blue shade, the hatchback looks good as well as oozes premiumness that has never been seen before on the Alto. Though the car has no great exterior detailing, the dimensions are much bigger than the outgoing model.

Expect a great improvement in cabin space and creature comfort amenities. Various rumours say the car has been built the company’s famed Heartect platform for accommodating 6 airbags as per government’s upcoming rule and to score decently on the Bharat NCAP crash tests.

The interior is expected to get an overhaul offering more features, including a touchscreen infotainment system with the latest UI, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It might also get electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs for the range-topping variants and a digital MID.

In terms of powertrains, Maruti Suzuki won’t make many changes. Expect the same FD8 and K10 engines on the upcoming Alto. Due to its lightweight construction, the K10 variants should be a delight to ride.
