Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic+ Coupe Introduced, Priced At Rs. 2.07 Crores

Mercedes-AMG has launched the GLE 63 S 4Matic+ Coupe with a price tag of Rs. 2.07 crores (ex-showroom) today in India.
Visually, the performance SUV is an aggressive beast. At the front, there is a large grille with vertical chrome slats, a substantial gaping ‘mouth’, a small splitter, and power bulges on the bonnet.

Shod with 22-inch alloy wheels, the coupe SUV sports a minor spoiler on the boot lid and an AMG-specific bumper, while a diffuser sits below, along with 4 tailpipes.

Stepping inside, one would find a 3-spoke steering wheel in Dinamica microfibre with aluminum flappy paddles and sport seats in Nappa leather with an ‘AMG’ badge in the front backrests. The optional AMG carbon-fiber trim elements can be chosen while customizing the interior.


The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S price also includes the latest generation MBUX infotainment system with AMG-specific functions and displays, and voice control, among other features.

For India’s most powerful coupe SUV, Mercedes-Benz has a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that puts out 612 HP and 850 Nm of torque. The 48 V EQ Boost starter-alternator adds another 22 HP and 250 torques. The cylinder deactivation technology cuts off cylinders 2,3,5, and 8 in ‘Comfort’ mode.

The internal combustion engine is connected to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that sends the motor’s power to all the wheels. The performance SUV can complete the 0-100 km/hr sprint in 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 280 km/hr.
Mercedes has equipped the GLE 63 S coupe with air suspension with active roll stabilization based on the 48 V electric system and a whole host of safety features, including active brake assist, blind-spot assist, and 3-stage electronic stability program.
