Bookings Open Ahead of Launch
Mini India is set to open bookings for the all-new Countryman John Cooper Works (JCW) ALL4 on September 22 via its website and dealerships. The official launch is scheduled for October 14.
- This marks the return of an internal combustion engine (ICE) variant to Mini India’s lineup.
- Until now, the Countryman was offered only as an EV in India.
A Powerful Heart Under the Hood
The new Mini Countryman JCW boasts impressive performance figures thanks to a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.
- Power output: 300hp and 400Nm of torque
- Transmission: 7-speed DCT gearbox
- Standard feature: ALL4 all-wheel-drive system
- Acceleration: 0–100kph in just 5.4 seconds
This setup makes the JCW a strong contender in the performance crossover segment, blending speed with everyday usability.
Bold Exterior with JCW DNA
The JCW trim takes the Countryman’s familiar silhouette and injects it with aggressive styling cues:
- Blacked-out grille with a signature chequered-flag pattern
- Larger air intakes and red bumper accents
- Exclusive JCW rims, red brake calipers, and JCW badging on the C-pillar
- At the rear: dual-tone bumper, red highlights, prominent spoiler, and quad exhaust tips
This aesthetic overhaul clearly distinguishes the JCW from its electric counterpart.
Sporty Interior, Technology in Focus
Inside, the cabin receives a performance-inspired update with several JCW-exclusive touches:
- Dashboard with red accents and ambient lighting
- Red contrast stitching and metallic pedals amplify its sporty appeal
- The infotainment system features JCW-centric graphics, maintaining the performance theme throughout the cabin
Limited Availability, Premium Price Tag
Mini India hasn’t yet confirmed the number of units allocated for the Indian market.
- The previous JCW electric version was limited to just 20 units
- Expect the price of the ICE-powered JCW to start around ₹70 lakh (ex-showroom)
This premium pricing aligns with the exclusivity and performance capabilities of the JCW variant.
Return of the Petrol-Powered Countryman
With this launch, the JCW will be the only ICE-powered Countryman in India. Currently, Mini sells the Countryman in India exclusively as an EV, with:
- 201hp electric motor
- WLTP range of 462 km
The reintroduction of petrol power caters to enthusiasts who value performance driving over electric range.
