New Royal Enfield motorcycles are on their way: the Hunter 350 to the Meteor 650

Royal Enfield is currently working on slew of new motorcycles. Several instances have been of these motorcycles being spotted testing in India and abroad. Since the last couple of years, Royal Enfield has been working extensively on expanding its portfolio. Last year, they launched the updated all-new Classic 350 motorcycle and a year before, they launched the Thunderbird replacement Meteor 350. We have compiled a list of six new motorcycles that will soon hit the market.

Hunter 350

Our roads are often spotted with this motorcycle testing, which means it’s expected to be available soon. There is currently a 350-cc roadster motorcycle known as Hunter. It is based on the J1C1 platform. Roadster motorcycles have slightly rear-set footpegs and upright riding postures. When launched, the motorcycle will rival the likes of Honda CB 350 RS. It will use the same 349-cc, single cylinder, fuel injected engine from Meteor, generating 20.2 Ps and 27 Nm of torque. It is expected that the Hunter 350 will be priced below the Classic 350. The Hunter is expected to be launched in August this year.

Bullet 350

Royal Enfield launched the Classic 350 last year, but the Bullet 350 was not updated. The Bullet still uses the UCE engine. During this year, Royal Enfield is expected to launch an updated Bullet 350 with the same engine as the Classic 350 and Meteor 350. The new Bullet will also be built on the same platform as the Classic 350.

Himalayan 450

Royal Enfield is also working on improving its existing products along with developing new ones. The manufacturer is working on a much more powerful version of their popular adventure tourer motorcycle Himalayan. The Himalayan will get a new platform and engine. A 450cc single cylinder engine will generate approximately 40 horsepower and 45 pound-feet of torque. Features such as a switchable ABS system, ride modes, and so on are expected to be included in the motorcycle. It is expected to be launched early in 2023.

Super Meteor 650

As of now, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are Royal Enfield’s flagship models in India. The manufacturer is currently developing a variety of 650-cc models that should change this soon. One of them is a Super Meteor 650 motorcycle. As the name suggests, the motorcycle is most likely to be a beefed up version of the Meteor 350 motorcycle. As with the current 650-twin motorcycles, the new model will use the same engine. The 648-cc, parallel twin, oil-cooled engine will generate 47 Ps and 52 Nm of peak torque. It is expected that the Super Meteor will be launched by the end of the year.

Shotgun 650 Roadster

The Shotgun is another Royal Enfield motorcycle with 650 cc. It was recently spotted testing in India for the first time. Roadster-like styling is applied to the motorcycle. At last year’s EICMA, Royal Enfield showcased SG560 concept motorcycles. This model is based on that concept. As with the Super Meteor, the Shotgun 650 will also be powered by a twin cylinder engine. Shotgun 650 is expected to be launched in two versions by Royal Enfield. In the market, the motorcycle will be available in roadster and bobber versions. It is expected that the Shotgun 650 will be released next year.

Royal Enfield KX Bobber

KX Bobber, which was shown as a concept a few years ago, is also expected to be launched by Royal Enfield. An 838cc V-Twin engine will power the KX Bobber, the biggest engine ever sold by Royal Enfield in India. The KX Bobber will sit at the very top of Royal Enfield’s line-up, as a flagship offering. Harley Davidson and Triumph are two other retro-modern motorcycle brands that will compete with the bobber.
