New Skoda Octavia TVCs Are Out For The New Luxury Sedan.

Skoda launched the all-new Octavia premium sedan a couple of months ago. Currently, the Style variant of the premium sedan is priced at Rs 25.99 lakh, ex-showroom. It is without a doubt one of the most attractive premium sedans currently available in India. In this segment, it competes with Hyundai Elantra. Skoda has now released a new TVC for the all-new Octavia, explaining all the general features of the premium sedan.

Skoda India has shared the video on their official YouTube channel. In this video, they take us around the overall design of the Octavia and then step inside to show the features. The all-new Skoda Octavia is designed on the MQB platform. Octavia’s dimensions have increased as a result. The new Octavia is slightly longer and wider than the older models.

Skoda has done an excellent job with the design of the new Octavia. The sedan looks much better than before. On either end of the new chrome grille, there are sleek looking adaptive LED headlamps with a unique design. LED DRLs are integrated into the headlamp cluster. Matrix LED headlamps are also available for customers.

The bumper on the new Octavia has been redesigned too. The Octavia is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels with a unique side profile. The side profile has a very intelligent design, and the sloping roof design adds to it. At the rear, the sedan gets sharper-looking LED tail lamps with Skoda branding on the boot. Video also shows the electrically controlled boot with 600 litres of space in it.

Skoda has updated the interior of the all-new Octavia. It now has premium-looking interiors. The floating-style 10-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, focuses on the dashboard. Dash gets a beige tone with glossy black inserts in between. The Octavia gets a virtual cockpit or a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster like many other Skoda models.

The new Octavia also features a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel. It comes with a premium 600W 11-speaker system from Canton, 8 airbags, beige colour premium leather upholstery, electrically adjustable and memory-function seats, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, etc.

Like many other automakers worldwide, Skoda has also announced that they will move away from diesel engines in their engine lineup. Only in India is the Skoda Octavia available with a petrol engine. It is driven by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces a maximum of 190 Ps and 320 Nm of peak torque. As standard, the engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission. Octavia uses shift-by-wire technology, so the conventional gear knob has been replaced with a toggle switch. Skoda does not offer a manual transmission with the Octavia. Skoda Octavia’s top-end L&K variant is priced at Rs 28.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
