An official teaser of Poco’s upcoming smartphone has been shared on Twitter. To recall, only recently a device called Poco M5 4G was said to have this exact chipset. This device will come with a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. Finally, the brand seems to be teasing the device, and this means that the launch is closer than expected.

Poco M5 4G Specifications
Poco’s official teaser only reveals the Poco M5 4G’s chipset, the MediaTek Helio G99, but previous leaks have revealed more details.
In terms of other specifications, it is expected to feature a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with Full-HD+ resolution. No official confirmation has been given regarding the panel’s ability to display at a high refresh rate of 90Hz.
There is expected to be a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support on the device. For security, a fingerprint scanner is said to be mounted on the side of the smartphone. There will be two RAM and storage options, 4GB/6GB and 64GB/128GB. It will boot on Android 12 OS out of the box and have Xiaomi’s MIUI on top.
Aside from this, there are still no details about the phone’s camera, and no bits regarding its design have been revealed. For connectivity, we expect it to have dual-SIM 4G, Bluetooth v5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi support.
Poco M5 4G India launch timeline, Pricing
It seems that the Poco M5 4G will be released in September based on a previous leak. Under Rs 15,000 is expected to be the price of the smartphone in India. In India, the M5 4G is also likely to be available online like other Poco phones.
