Skoda will offer the 1.5 TSI motor in the Kushaq Ambition variant?

Skoda Kushaq 1.5 TSI Ambition has been homologated, but the brand has no plans to launch it.

The Czech brand was naturally expected to introduce the 1.5-liter TSI Ambition once Skoda received type approval.

The 1.5 TSI is available in only one grade, the Style (priced between Rs. 16.20 lakhs and Rs. 17.60 lakhs ex-showroom), whereas the 1.0 TSI is available in all 3 variants, Active (base), Ambition (mid).

The 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 150 PS and 250 torques could boost the compact SUV’s sales, as it will be more accessible to a wide range of buyers.

The Brand Director (India) of the Czech firm, Zac Hollis, has categorically stated that there is no current plan to introduce the Skoda Kushaq 1.5 TSI Ambition.

Several features reserved for the Style variant are not included in the Ambition variant
.
The type approval document for the Kushaq 1.5-litre Ambition mentions only the automatic version equipped with a 7-speed DSG. Skoda should offer the 6-speed manual gearbox with the middle variant if the engine is extended to it.

With the Ambition variant, you get LED headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, a rear-view camera, as well as a good deal of safety technology.
Skoda should price the Kushaq 1.5 TSI Ambition about Rs. 1.50 lakhs less than the Style variant when it launches. In addition, Skoda is also looking to introduce the Kushaq 1.0-litre TSI Active AT in the market.
