Tata Teases ‘Nexon EV Max’, Featuring Styling Revisions

Tata has flung a new set of teasers for its upcoming long-range Nexon EV slated for 11th May launch. Interestingly, the homegrown manufacturer has not only revealed the name of the EV but also has revealed certain styling revisions the car’s gonna sport.

Called the Nexon EV Max, the EV now gets a fresh set of alloy wheels differentiating it from the regular Nexon EV outside.

The pattern almost looks like that of the MG ZS EV’s wheels though fully exposed unlike the MG revealing the inside like present-day cars. The alloys look like they are diamond-cut and sport a brushed silver finish with black stripes.

On the inside, Tata has teased the car’s new drive mode selector knob which is now fully finished in knurled chrome for better grip and premium feel. It now gets the modes in this order – P, R, N, and D against the existing Nexon EV’s order – R, N, D, and S.

The mode selected will be visible on the tiny screen present inside the knob. The centre console also gets 4 new buttons with one to activate the Auto Hold feature.

Other than these aspects, nothing much could be made out from the teasers. But the car might get some other subtle changes to differentiate it from the regular model. It will also command premium over the existing Nexon EV.

Select Tata dealerships have commenced unofficial bookings for the Nexon EV Max. Though exact booking amount is not known, it should be in the vicinity of Rs. 20,000 to 30,000/-.

It appears that the long-range version will include a big 40 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 400 km (100 km more than the standard car) and real-world range easily exceeding 300 km.
