Tiger 900 & 1200 Get Alpine and Desert Editions with Factory Upgrades

Inspired by mountain and desert landscapes, the new Alpine and Desert editions bring exclusive styling and factory-fitted upgrades to Triumph’s Tiger 900 and 1200 GT Pro and Rally Pro models.

Triumph Introduces Adventure-Focused Special Editions

Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled Alpine and Desert editions of its popular Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200 platforms, bringing new visual themes and purpose-built equipment to enhance touring and off-road capability. These special editions are based on the GT Pro and Rally Pro trims and are available internationally from January 2026, with an India launch expected mid-2026.

Rather than revising core mechanicals, Triumph has styled and equipped these models to suit two distinct terrains—alpine trails and desert dunes—offering factory-ready packages for riders seeking both aesthetics and function.

Visual Identity: Snow Peaks vs Sand Dunes

Each special edition features a distinct colour scheme and graphics package designed to evoke specific environments:

  • Tiger Alpine Editions
    • 900 Alpine: Snowdonia White & Sapphire Black with Aegean Blue highlights
    • 1200 Alpine: New alpine-themed graphics and paint scheme
    • Inspired by mountain touring and high-altitude terrain
  • Tiger Desert Editions
    • 900 Desert: Urban Grey & Sapphire Black with Baja Orange accents
    • 1200 Desert: Rally-inspired graphics and desert tones
    • Designed for rugged, arid landscapes and off-road focus

These packages offer factory-fitted accessories, reducing the need for post-purchase modifications.

Tiger 900 Alpine & Desert Editions: Same Engine, Unique Setup

Both special editions retain the 888cc T-plane triple-cylinder engine producing 106 bhp and 90 Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. What sets them apart is the equipment tuned for terrain-specific performance.

Tiger 1200 Alpine & Desert Editions: Luxury Meets Adventure

The Tiger 1200 special editions carry forward the 1,160cc T-plane triple, outputting 147 bhp and 129 Nm. These editions retain the shaft-drive layout and semi-active Showa suspension, with added tech and comfort.

Position in the Line-Up: Special Editions, Not Separate Models

Triumph’s Tiger lineup includes:

  • GT Pro / GT Explorer: Road-focused
  • Rally Pro / Rally Explorer: Off-road capable

The Alpine and Desert editions are special-edition packages based on the GT Pro and Rally Pro trims—not separate models. They sit above standard trims in terms of styling and factory kit, but share the same engines and core components.

This approach allows Triumph to appeal to more targeted riders—those seeking terrain-specific equipment and aesthetics without navigating complex aftermarket setups.
