Ultraviolette F77 to be Unveiled by March 2022

Ultraviolette Automotive has declared that it will launch its F77 electric motorcycle in March 2022. The F77’s launch will take place in 2022, and pre-orders will begin this year.

TVS-backed electric motorcycle manufacture will set up a factory in Bengaluru near Electronic City, covering 70,000 square feet.
Ultraviolette says the facility’s capacity will increase to 1.20 lakh units in time. It will produce 15,000 electric motorcycles in its first year.

According to the Founder and CEO of Ultraviolette Automotive, Narayan Subramaniam, more than 90 percent of the F77’s components, including the battery pack, will be sourced and manufactured locally.

Niraj Rajmohan, company founder and CTO, adds that it uses renewable energy in its manufacturing practices. EV makers will recycle e-waste as well, he said.

Ultraviolette F77, which is expected to cost around Rs. 3 lakhs (ex-showroom) will come in three variants on launch. Additionally, it will have three battery packs.

The electric bike is powered by a 25 kW (33.5 BHP) motor with 90 Nm of torque and can relinquish a top speed of just shy of 150 km/h.

It will be capable of traveling up to 150 kilometers on a single charge. A standard plug will take 5 hours to charge, while fast charging will take 1.5 hours.
