Yamaha has announced the Fascino 125 Hybrid for India, which integrates a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) to assist the petrol engine.
The Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid comes with both drum and disc brakes and is powered by a 125cc petrol engine good for 8.2PS and 10.3Nm of torque.
As per the Japanese automaker, the SMG provides power assistance when accelerating from a stop. When the engine revs exceed a set level or about 3 seconds after starting, the power assist function will be canceled.
In all, there will be nine color options for the disc brake variant and 7 for the drum variant.
Also, the SMG in the Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid enables the scooter to have a ‘Quiet Engine Start System’ and an automatic stop-start system.
In addition to the disc brakes on the Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid, the bike is loaded with LED lighting units, a digital instrument cluster, and Bluetooth connectivity via the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X app.
As standard, both drum and disc brake variants of the scooter feature side stand engine cut-off switch, multi-function key with seat opener function, and 21-litre under-seat storage, while a USB charger is optional.
Yamaha plans to offer Bluetooth connectivity in all of its products in the future.
Driving on 90/90-12 front tire and a 110/90-10 rear tire, the Fascino 125 Hybrid will be offered in a range of colors such as Cool Blue Metallic, Cyan Blue, Metallic Black Special, Suave Copper, Vivid Red Special, Yellow Cocktail, and more.
