Yamaha XSR155 Hits Indian Roads with 4 Colours, 2 Unique Accessory Packages

The long-awaited neo-retro Yamaha XSR155 debuts with four eye-catching colour options and two factory kits—Scrambler and Café Racer—for a personalised riding experience.

Yamaha XSR155 Arrives in India: A Neo-Retro Statement

After much anticipation, Yamaha has launched the XSR155 in India, entering the 150 cc neo-retro roadster segment. Priced at ₹1,49,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the motorcycle is built on the proven platform of the R15 V4 and MT-15, sharing the same 155 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA).

While it’s available in just one variant, Yamaha compensates with customisation-friendly colour options and two distinct accessory packages.

Four Factory Colour Options for Every Personality

Yamaha offers the XSR155 in four factory colour schemes at no extra cost, each adding a unique character to the bike’s retro-modern design:

  • Metallic Grey – A minimalist, understated option that reflects the bike’s clean, classic lines.
  • Vivid Red – A sportier look featuring contrasting graphics and a vibrant tank design.
  • Greyish Green Metallic – A rugged tone enhanced with orange alloy wheels, ideal for adventurous riders.
  • Metallic Blue – A bold, premium finish in tune with Yamaha’s sportier models.

These colours are designed to complement the XSR’s signature styling cues like the round LED headlamp, teardrop fuel tank, and single-piece scrambler-style seat.

Scrambler Package: Rugged Appeal with Purposeful Upgrades

The Scrambler Package, priced approximately at ₹25,450, caters to riders who prefer a dual-purpose aesthetic and functional add-ons. Key components include:

  • Flyscreen (₹3,290) and headlight cover (₹3,610) for wind protection.
  • Bar-end mirrors (₹3,080) for a retro-modern visual upgrade.
  • Knee pads (₹400) for tank grip and styling.
  • Scrambler seat cover (₹480) for rugged comfort.
  • Side-mounted number plate (₹4,320) enhances the off-road look.
  • Side radiator guards (₹1,330) and adjustable levers (₹2,720) add both style and utility.
  • License plate holder (₹5,620) rounds off the package with a clean rear profile.

This setup is perfect for riders who want a scrambler-style machine ready for both city streets and weekend trails.

Café Racer Package: Sporty Retro for Urban Riders

Tailored for those who crave classic speed-inspired styling, the Café Racer Package costs around ₹28,180 and transforms the XSR155 into a sleeker, more aggressive street machine.

Notable additions include:

  • Café racer-style seat (₹6,640) with a rear seat hump.
  • Compact headlamp cowl (₹8,980) for a race-inspired face.
  • Side covers (₹2,890) that give the bike a narrower, streamlined look.
  • Shared components from the Scrambler kit: radiator guards, adjustable levers, and license plate holder.

This package brings a track-ready vibe while retaining the core mechanical identity of the XSR155.

One Bike, Many Identities

Though the mechanical specs remain unchanged, Yamaha’s approach to personalisation through factory kits allows buyers to style the XSR155 to match their personality. Whether you’re into retro-rugged scrambler charm or the race-inspired lines of a café racer, the factory kits provide both aesthetic and functional enhancements—all with OEM fit and finish.
