In Maharashtra as well as Pune district, rains have increased since this evening.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts cloudy skies and overcast conditions in Pune city with light rain expected with a chance of moderate rain in isolated areas.
Dr Anupam Kashyapi, Head, Weather & Air Pollution Monitoring Unit, IMD said, “There is orange alert for adjacent ghat areas due to isolated heavy to very heavy rain possibility for the next two days. It is recommended that people do not go to the ghat areas.”
He added, “There will be reduction in rainfall activity from 23rd August onward with generally cloudy sky, very light to light rain in coming days.”
