Citing the sudden rush of people in Spain after the end of the six-month curfew, the President of Spain’s Epidemiological Society, Elena Vanessa Martinez, warned that there are still many infected people who can spread the virus further, according to Dpa International reports. She expressed her concerns over the false security signal assumed after the end of the emergency and night curfew. According to The Guardian reports, the Madrid mayor appealed to the people to act responsibly. People who gathered on the streets flouted the COVID-19 norms and many of them did not wear masks or maintain social distancing.

According to a Hindustan Times report, a police van patrolling Barcelona beach warned the people over a loudspeaker, “It is forbidden to gather in groups of more than six people, please leave the beach.” Cops in Madrid had to push dancing and singing crowds out of the central Puerta del Sol square. 10-Day Quarantine Mandatory For People Travelling From India To Spain
The Spanish authority has now lifted the nationwide night curfew in most places and has also allowed travel within Spain. It has also permitted in-person family visits. Meanwhile, many officials are concerned about the situation of last year being repeated, as per Dpa International reports. Also, people travelling from India to Spain now will have to remain in quarantine for 10 days.
