Ukraine has legalized Crypto amid escalating border tensions with the Soviet Bear! In the country, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum are now legal tender. According to an official statement the parliament of Ukraine passed the new law on virtual digital assets with a resounding 270+ votes.
Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhailo Fedorov, announced the move on Twitter with great excitement
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, headed by Fedorov, was established on 29th August 2019. Some of the ministry’s objectives to achieve by 2024 are
- Make all public services digital
- Leverage business and infrastructure by boosting electronic communication speed
- Reach 6 million Ukrainians with digital skills etc.
