Bank Of India 1800 Branches Will Connect With Satellite Internet!

Hughes Communications India Private Ltd. (HCIPL), the satellite broadband and managed network services provider, announced that the Bank of India (BoI) has chosen to connect 1,800 bank branches with satellite network access across the country.

Hughes To Link Indian Bank With Satellite Connectivity

The initiative would also provide satellite internet to Aryavart Bank, Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank (MPGB), Vidharbha Konkan Gramin Bank (VKGB), and rural Bank of India branches in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

Hughes JUPITER System To Power The Network

The JUPITER System is the most commonly used ground network platform in the world. The network will be powered by the Hughes JUPITER System, including routers, gateways and network management, using capacity on the GSAT11 and NSS12 satellites.

Nayara Energy, a private-sector oil retailer, chose Hughes Network Systems LLC’s majority-owned subsidiary to construct, integrate, and maintain a satellite network solution across 3,500 of its retail stores earlier this month.
