YC Alum SRE.ai Raises $7.2M to Bring AI Agents to DevOps
Startup aims to modernize enterprise workflows with natural language automation
From Frustration to Founding
For Edward Aryee and Raj Kadiyala, the idea for SRE.ai wasn’t sparked by one “aha” moment. Instead, it was the accumulation of tedious, repetitive DevOps tasks they and their peers faced.
- Both founders had previously worked at Google Research and DeepMind, where they noticed the gap between advanced internal infrastructure tools and the clunky, patchwork solutions available elsewhere.
- “It gnawed at us,” Aryee said. Their engineer friends often complained about messy issues like metadata conflicts.
- The pair decided to build “the next generation of DevOps experiences,” founding SRE.ai in 2024.
What SRE.ai Offers
SRE.ai provides AI-powered natural language agents that can run complex DevOps workflows — from continuous integration and testing to release management and monitoring.
- Unlike single-platform tools, SRE.ai is designed to work across cloud providers and enterprise systems, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and ServiceNow.
- The system sets up automatically, connecting with a user’s existing integrations.

Competition and Differentiation
The startup enters a competitive landscape that includes Copado, Gearset, and Flosum.

Seed Round Announcement
On Wednesday, SRE.ai officially came out of stealth, announcing a $7.2 million seed round.
- The round was led by Salesforce Ventures and Crane Venture Partners.
- The founders described the process as “high conviction,” with the round oversubscribed.
- SRE.ai participated in Y Combinator’s Fall 2024 cohort, which helped connect them to investors.
The funds will be used to hire AI engineers and Salesforce experts, expand the platform, and grow the customer base.
Looking Ahead
Aryee and Kadiyala said they are already seeing early traction. Their goal is to position SRE.ai as the go-to solution for enterprises seeking smarter, faster, and more flexible DevOps tooling.
“We’re excited about building out our team to support new customers and extend the platform with new features,” Kadiyala said.
