Forget Dev Cycles: Flint Builds Optimized Web Pages in a Day

With $5M in seed funding, Flint is building autonomous websites that optimize, test, and update themselves—helping marketers move at the speed of AI.

A Problem Born from First-Hand Frustration

Michelle Lim, former growth lead at Warp, faced a critical challenge: the company’s website couldn’t keep up with the pace of customer inquiries and evolving competitor landscape. Despite the rise of AI tools like ChatGPT assisting users in real time, Warp’s site lacked timely updates and competitive comparisons.

  • Information gaps led to missed opportunities with potential customers.
  • Adding even a single page required coordination across design, development, and marketing, often taking weeks.

Lim realized the need for a platform that could autonomously build and update websites—at the speed marketers now require.

Enter Flint: Autonomous Website Builder

In March, Lim co-founded Flint with Max Levenson, an engineer from autonomous vehicle startup Nuro. Flint emerged from stealth mode with $5 million in seed funding, led by Accel, and joined by Sheryl Sandberg’s fund, Sandberg Bernthal Venture Partners, and Neo.

  • Flint’s mission is clear: AI-powered websites that self-optimize.
  • These sites should run A/B tests, adapt to market trends, and eventually generate personalized content for each visitor.

What Flint Can Do Right Now

Though the long-term vision is ambitious, Flint’s current features already deliver real value:

  • Automatically designs and deploys pages using set parameters.
  • Adds interactive elements like buttons and tables.
  • Includes ad optimization and form tracking built-in.
  • Delivers live pages in about a day, saving weeks of development time.

Currently, customers still provide the copy, but Flint plans to integrate AI content generation within a year.

Built for Marketers, Not Developers

Unlike traditional CMS tools or design agencies, Flint isn’t trying to “vibe code” or fully redesign websites. Instead, it works with a site’s existing look and feel, analyzing design patterns and generating consistent new pages.

  • Customers like Cognition, Modal, and Graphite are already live with Flint-powered pages.
  • The platform is specifically geared toward marketers and CMOs, enabling them to respond instantly to changing market needs without involving large teams.

Why Sheryl Sandberg Is Betting on Flint

Sheryl Sandberg’s investment signals confidence in Flint’s mission. As Michelle Lim shared, Sandberg immediately connected with the inefficiency marketers face when scaling websites.

“At Meta, it took 140 people to run a single A/B test,” Sandberg told Lim—validating just how deep-rooted this problem is, even at the biggest tech companies.

With her backing, Flint hopes to transform how websites evolve, empowering lean marketing teams to deliver enterprise-grade digital experiences—without the enterprise bloat.
