As per the GDRFA website, you will need a sponsor in order to extend your UAE visit visa. The sponsor can be an organisation, a UAE resident (family or friend), tourist company, airlines or any other organisation based in the country. Tourist and visit visas in the UAE can now be extended without the person exiting the country. Individuals with a tourist or visit visa can reach out to the travel agency in the emirate, where the visa was issued. However, this must be done three to five working days before your visa is about to expire.
Tourist agencies will then receive the required documents online, and process the payment digitally before changing the status of the visa. Individuals can apply for a 30-day or a 90-day visa. The cost will depend on the validity of your visa as well as the emirate that you are applying from.

Copy of passport, which should be valid for at least six months
Passport size photograph
Copy of old or cancelled tourist visa
Travellers who have entered the UAE using the ‘visa on arrival’ facility, would only require Passport copy and photograph
In case of visas applied by a relative or friend, a copy of their residence visa page is required.
