1. Mukesh Ambani – $102 billion

India’s richest person, Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries, occupies the Tenth spot on the list of the world’s richest persons. The net worth of Mukesh Ambani is $102 billion. In addition to the petrochemicals and oil and gas businesses built by his father Dhirubhai Ambani *- a business icon in his own right- Mukesh is now pivoting to more consumer-facing businesses like telecommunications and retail. Jio is one of the largest telecom networks in India today, with a current revenue of over $20 billion, and the next phase of fundraising will be for retail.

2. Gautam Adani – $71.7 billion

According to Forbes, Gautam Adani has a net worth of $71.7 billion. He ranks 15 on the list of the world’s richest and is the second richest person in India. Apart from Mundra Port, the largest in India, his wealth-generating portfolio includes commodities, power generation, including renewable energy (like solar farms), and transmission.

3. Shiv Nadar – $31.5 billion

Shiv Nadar is the third richest person in India, with an estimated net worth of $31.5 billion. He founded HCL Technologies, a company valued at (*) 274826 crore (market value) and one of the largest software exporters in the world today. With a global presence in 45 countries, HCL Technologies has earned Shiv Nadar the 41st position on Forbes’ list of world’s richest people.

4. Radhakishan Damani & Family – $ 22.1 billion

Radhakishan Damani has a net worth of $22.1 billion, making him the fourth richest person in India. He occupies 101st place on the world’s richest list. He founded the supermarket chain DMart, which went public in 2017 and has since become the world’s most valuable retail chain for its unique business model, which makes the holding company Avenue Supermarts more profitable than many of its competitors.

5. Savitri Jindal & Family – $18.6 billion

Cyrus Poonawalla is the 6th wealthiest person in India with an estimated net worth of $18.2 billion. He founded the Serum Institute of India in 1966, which today is the world’s largest producer of vaccines for measles, influenza, and polio. Currently, the company is co-developing two vaccines for COVID-19 and has a significant lead over similar research that is underway. He ranks 110th on the world’s wealthiest persons list.

7. Lakshmi Mittal – $ 17.6 billion

Chairman and CEO of ArcelorMittal, Sunil Mittal has a net worth of $17.6 billion and ranks as the Seventh wealthiest person in India. On the list of the world’s richest persons, his wealth status places him at number 115. In countries around the world, he is known for turning sick steel producing companies into profitable companies. Recent acquisitions include Essar Steel, owned by the Ruia family in India, which went bankrupt.

8. Kumar Birla – $16.1 billion

Kumar Birla, who holds the 131st position on the world’s richest persons’ list, has a net worth of $16.1 billion, making him the Eighth richest person in India. Head of Aditya Birla Group, he inherits the company for the fourth generation in a row. In addition to cement and aluminum, the group provides retail, telecom, and financial services.

9. Uday Kotak – $16.1 billion

Kotak Mahindra Bank founder Uday Kotak occupies the fifth position on the list of India’s richest people. Kotak is 132nd on the list of the world’s richest persons with a net worth of $16.1 billion.

10. Dilip Shanghvi – $14.4 billion

Dilip Shanghvi is the tenth richest person in India, with a net worth of $14.4 billion. Dilip Shanghvi, the founder of Sun Pharma, has built his company into the largest manufacturer of specialty generic drugs. Additionally, he is involved with oil and energy ventures. According to the Forbes list of the world’s richest people, he ranks 146th.
