Tata Power’s ₹1,947 Solar Offer: A Bright Future Starts on Your Roof

Powering Every Home: Tata Power’s ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ Campaign Energizes Pune

Affordable rooftop solar systems, innovative tech, and financing options mark Tata Power’s Independence Day push for clean energy in Maharashtra.

A Green Independence Day Gift for Pune

Tata Power Renewables has launched its ambitious ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ campaign in Pune, aligning with India’s clean energy vision and the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. This new initiative celebrates Independence Day with a symbolic offer that reduces the entry cost for rooftop solar adoption.

  • Initial payment of ₹1,947 reflects India’s year of independence.
  • Consumers can finance the rest through easy loans, starting with EMIs of ₹2,369 for a 2 kWp system.
  • Up to 60-month repayment terms with instant digital approvals ensure seamless access.

A one-year free solar insurance policy from Tata AIG adds further value.

Leveraging Government Subsidies

Tata Power’s offering works in tandem with the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, which provides generous central subsidies:

  • ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW
  • ₹18,000 per kW for the next 1 kW
  • Maximum subsidy of ₹78,000

To streamline financing, Tata Power has partnered with 15 major banks, including SBI, Canara Bank, and Union Bank of India, making solar adoption even more accessible.

Ambitious Targets for Maharashtra

Tata Power is scaling operations significantly in Maharashtra:

  • 800 MW rooftop solar goal for the state over the next three years
  • 250 MW additional capacity planned specifically for Pune
  • Current capacity in Pune: 200 MW
  • 775 MWp already installed statewide, serving 27,910 customers

The company also aims to build a strong channel partner network, targeting 1,000 new partners and retailers across the region.

Smart, Stylish Solar Solutions

The campaign goes beyond just panels. Tata Power introduces modern, lifestyle-centric solar innovations:

  • MySine: A compact solar system with integrated battery backup, ensuring uninterrupted power during outages.
  • Solar Design Spaces: 25 architecturally designed rooftop solar structures, combining efficiency with aesthetics to suit contemporary homes.

These additions reflect Tata Power’s commitment to innovation and user-centric design.

A Trusted Brand with Enduring Support

Sanjay Banga, CEO & MD of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd, highlighted the brand’s focus on trust, quality, and service longevity. Tata Power Solaroof offers:

  • 25-year module warranty
  • Lifetime service support
  • Nationwide presence
  • Comprehensive insurance coverage

The company is also rolling out a mass awareness campaign to educate consumers about the economic and environmental benefits of solar energy.

Expanding Footprint in Power Distribution

Tata Power is eyeing a stronger presence in Pune’s energy landscape. The company has submitted an application to MERC for a power distribution licence in:

  • Pune
  • Haveli
  • Maval
  • Mulshi
  • Khed

Once approved, this move could pave the way for more competitive, reliable energy services in the region.

Conclusion: Clean Energy, Empowered Homes

With its Ghar Ghar Solar campaign, Tata Power is making rooftop solar more affordable, accessible, and attractive for Indian households. By offering financial ease, stylish solutions, and dependable service, the company is helping mainstream solar adoption—one rooftop at a time.
