A Partnership to Expand the Claridges Brand

Taj Hotels has signed a 25-year management contract for The Claridges, New Delhi, which will officially begin in April 2025.

The Legacy of The Claridges Hotel

The Claridges was established in 1955 and has had a change of ownership in the past.

  • In 2003, Admiral Suresh Nanda’s family purchased the hotel from Arun Khanna.
  • The hotel boasts 132 rooms and suites and several renowned restaurants, including Jade, Dhaba, Erawaan, and Sevilla.
  • A small paan shop outside the hotel has become a favorite spot for the who’s who of Delhi.

Culinary Delights at The Claridges

Among the hotel’s offerings, its restaurants stand out for their unique dining experiences.

  • Sevilla offers Spanish cuisine, while Dhaba serves a Punjabi-themed dining experience.
  • The hotel also features a spacious event venue, Viceroy, which can host up to 300 guests.
  • For business meetings, the King George V boardroom offers a premium setting.

Suresh Nanda, promoter of Claridges Hotels Private Limited, expressed his excitement about the collaboration with IHCL.
