Aernnova Strengthens India Partnership With $300M Manufacturing Deal With Mahindra

Aernnova and Mahindra Aerostructures Sign $300 Million Multi-Year Contract to Expand Global Aerospace Collaboration

The new agreement marks a major milestone in a decade-long partnership, enhancing global aerospace manufacturing capabilities with a strong “Make in India” focus.

Strengthening a Strategic Partnership Since 2013

Aernnova Aerospace SAU and Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt. Ltd. (MASPL) have entered into a multi-year contract worth approximately $300 million, reinforcing their long-standing collaboration. This new agreement positions MASPL to supply metal sub-assemblies and components for various Airbus aircraft and Embraer programs, including the C390 Millennium military transport aircraft.

  • The contract will support multiple Aernnova production sites across Spain, the UK, Portugal, and Brazil.
  • It represents a significant evolution of a partnership that began in 2013, and which has since grown through joint investments and program expansion.

Executive Comments Reflect Long-Term Vision

Mr. Ricardo Chocarro, CEO of Aernnova, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership:
“This collaboration with Mahindra ensures we strengthen our global supply chain and meet ramp-up demands across all programs. MASPL’s technology and expertise are invaluable, and we are confident in their ability to deliver.”

Dr. Anish Shah, Group CEO and MD of the Mahindra Group, remarked:
“We deeply appreciate Aernnova’s continued trust. As we expand our aerospace capabilities, this partnership will help us explore new opportunities and reach greater heights.”

Mr. Arvind Mehra, MD and CEO of Mahindra Aerostructures, added:
“Our collaboration with Aernnova has been pivotal since MASPL’s inception. This contract not only deepens our relationship but also opens new ‘Make in India’ opportunities. We are committed to supporting Aernnova’s production goals with our investments in capability, digitalization, and sustainability.”

A Decade of Joint Growth and Global Expansion

The relationship between Aernnova and MASPL has evolved significantly over the years:

  • Aernnova supported MASPL during its facility setup in India, contributing to both infrastructure and skill development.
  • In 2020, Aernnova acquired Hamble Aerostructures UK—a key MASPL customer—bringing the relationship to a deeper operational level.
  • The new contract results from strategic planning and multiple engagements, with both companies aligning on future goals and collaboration strategies.

Looking Ahead: Growth Through Innovation and Localization

This agreement reflects the growing emphasis on global aerospace collaboration and the strategic importance of India as a manufacturing hub. Both companies are expected to continue building on this strong foundation, scaling operations, and enhancing their value chains in high-performance, digitally enabled, and sustainable manufacturing.
