Pune University Appoints Nodal Officer To Resolve Grievances Of Students

In order to address the grievances of students at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) carried out an agitation today (September 21).

When he learned of the ABVP’s agitation, Minister Chandrakant Patil reached out to Registrar Prafulla Pawar over the phone.
It was directed that a nodal officer should be appointed immediately regarding the problems of students at Pune University.

Accordingly, Dr Anil Lokhande from the Examination Department has been appointed to the concerned position and the university has issued a circular in this regard.

SPPU April-May 2022 session result process is underway and the results of various examinations are being announced. As well as through statements by various student organisations, the issues raised regarding the results were discussed with the representatives of the concerned organisations in a face-to-face meeting.

The results declared to date show that the passing percentage in the results is not only satisfactory but has increased significantly, making re-examination possible. But in order to give the students an immediate chance to retake, the upcoming examination is usually held in the second week of December 2022.

Photocopy and re-evaluation facility is available per the prevailing procedure for clearing doubts regarding the students’ results.
Students are requested to apply and take advantage of it. A fee refund is also available to the students if the errors found in this are true. In order to resolve the complaints of the students immediately, Dr Anil Lokhande is being appointed as Grievance Redressal Officer for a limited period.
