Bappi Lahiri’s Instagram Post Two Days Before He Died Reminds Us That “Old Is Gold”

Music composer Bappi Lahiri passed away on Wednesday at the age of 69 in Mumbai. The super hit song ‘Tamma Tamma’ was composed by him, and he wore a lot of gold jewelry. “Old is always gold,” he captioned a picture from his official Instagram account two days before he died.

“Lahiri was admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday, but his condition worsened on Tuesday. His family requested a visit from a doctor, and he was taken to the hospital with multiple health issues. He died shortly before midnight from ‘Obstructive Sleep Apnea’”.

Bappi Lahiri posted a throwback picture of himself on Instagram from his official account and captioned it as “Old is always Gold”. The black and white photo has a younger Bappi Lahiri sitting and thinking about something. Fans started commenting with condolence messages such as “Rest in peace sir”, “RIP” just a few minutes after the news of his death.

A few days ago when Lata Mangeshkar passed away, Bappi Lahiri had posted a picture with her on Instagram and wrote in the caption “Maa!”. He saw immense success during the 1980s and 1990s and he is known as the ‘Disco King’ of Bollywood. In an interview with PTI in 2019, Bappi Lahiri said “I feel so proud to have had this journey and to have worked with all the extremely talented people in the industry. Simply put, my life is Dilip Kumar to Ranveer Singh. From Dharm Adhikari to Gunday I’ve done it all”.

Bappi Lahiri was admitted to the hospital and he took his last breath today in Mumbai. He will always be in our hearts.
